Gladstone Community Festival
The Gladstone Community Festival began as the Chautauqua Festival in 1894. Come meet up with neighbors and friends while you enjoy some old fashioned family fun.
Festival highlights include Movie in the Park, the Gladstone Parade, live music, and the Car Show.
Several community events tie to the Festival: the SHOC run to fight ovarian cancer, the Library Foundation Book Sale, and an all-class reunion of Gladstone High alumni.
Organized by the Gladstone/Oak Lodge Rotary Club and supported by folks across Gladstone, this event brings us together to celebrate the connections and traditions of our small town. All proceeds benefit scholarships and other community projects in Gladstone.

Carefree Sunday
Carefree Sunday, presented by Moda Health, opens up 3.5 miles of streets for active transportation (bicycles, scooters, skateboards, etc.) by closing them to cars. The result is hundreds of people biking, walking, rolling and connecting with the community!
Along the route, the city will host three activity centers at Ball-Michel, Water Tower and Wichita Parks. Each will have activities, music, food, vendors and so much more!
