Cedarwood School’s Winter Faire

Journey into the Crystal Cookie Cave, dip beeswax candles, get crafty in the woodworking & sewing rooms, wind yarn into a jumprope, visit the Wishing Stone Wizard, and indulge in sweets and treats at this beloved Winter Faire! The Artisan Marketplace and Gingerbread Cafe will be open all day, with handmade items and strong foods available for purchase. 10am-4pm, $10-25. nwkidsmagazine.com/events

Cookies, Crafts & Archery at Trackers Earth

Celebrate the Yule with Trackers Earth at their 6th annual holiday party! Join the Trackers Family for a seasonal celebration of skills, scrumptious food, and a craft fair featuring the wares of local artisans. Listen to and sing along with live holiday music. Activities: Shoot arrows at the free open archery range. Help trim the Trackers Tree. Even sign up for an hour of blacksmithing instruction to forge a holiday trinket ($10/hr). Plus, face painting and chance to visit with Trackers own unique version of Santa. Cookie & Sweater Contest: Bring a plate of your best homemade holiday cookies or treats to be tasted and judged by a panel from the League of Extraordinary Cookie Experts! Toadstools Workshop at SCRAP PDX

Make your own Toadstool! Large enough for an adult, cool enough for a kid, this awesome Sunday Workshop will lead you through the process of designing your very own piece of furniture. Using giant wood spindles, you will decorate and design soft mushrooms tops with a woodland wonderland around the base all with reuse materials! Participants will leave with a seat 15 inches tall and 22 inches across, a full-sized seat! 11am-2pm, $25 (see event site to register). nwkidsmagazine.com/events
