The Short List: July 8-10
It looks like this weekend’s shaping up to be pretty artsy, so let’s get out there and get creative together!
July 8-10
Oregon Country Fair
If you’re feeling like getting out of town soon, perhaps this weekend is just the time. The annual Oregon Country Fair is happening, with twelve stages of magic, music, juggling and jesting, over 700 craft artisans and tons of delicious food. To top it off, the fair is totally kid-friendly, with tons of fun stuff to do for the little ones. And if you’re feeling like you need some grown-up time, there’s childcare available, too. $24-68, kids 10 and under free, oregoncountryfair.org
July 8-10
Gem Faire
If you and your kiddos love beautiful, shiny gems and jewelry, you probably want to check out this weekend’s Gem Faire at the Oregon Convention Center. Gem Faire is one of the largest gem, bead and jewelry fairs in the country, so if you’re crafty and into making your own, looking for a special piece to hand down to someone you love, or maybe just want to look at all the lovely, sparkling displays, the Gem Faire would be a great way to spend a few hours this weekend. $7, kids 11 and under free, gemfaire.com
