The Short List: Sep 1-4
Labor Day Weekend is upon us! Though many of us have already sent our kids back to school for 2017-18 and some of us are just wrapping up the final school-supply and new-shoes runs, the summer is not quite over yet! Here are a few of the events we’re looking at for the weekend:
All Weekend
The Big Bounce
Head to Hillsboro for the world’s biggest bounce house! There will be multiple themed zones from inflatable forests inhabited by giant inflatable characters (8ft pink gorilla’s anyone?) to super-sized ball pits, slides, obstacles and basketball hoops for you to jump on, slide down and slam-dunk into! When you and your kids need a rest, there are also areas to relax and listen to what the DJ is spinning! Friday noon-7pm, Sat-Mon 8am-7:30pm. Shute Park, $10-$16. thebigbounceamerica.com
Oregon State Fair
In case you’ve have missed it so far, The Oregon State Fair will run through Labor Day, so you still have this weekend to make it there! This year’s program will continue to serve up big screams with more than 50 thrilling carnival rides. The annual attractions are also back – street performers, horse competitions, canine agility tests, world reptiles, nightly laser show, and much more. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10am-11pm and Monday, 10am-10pm, free. oregonstatefair.org
