Good in the Hood Music & Food Festival
Founded in 1990, Good in the Hood is a non-profit organization that aims to be a creative medium through which members of the community can come together to experience music, food and resources while strengthening relationships. Good in the Hood hosts an annual Multi-Cultural Festival that is the largest of its kind in the Pacific NW. Opening with a parade that travels through NE Portland, this three-day festival brings you food, music and celebration like none other! Free, goodnthehood.org

Brewfest in the Park
Come out to Overlook Park for the first annual Brewfest in the Park! Family and pet-friendly, this festival will be serving over 60 organically brewed craft beers, ciders and meads. There will also be food carts, vendors, lawn games, the Crater Lake Soda Garden for kids and drivers and a kids’ area with face painting and activities. Don’t miss the opening day of this fun new festival! Minors under 21 get in free with a parent. $5-20, brewfestinthepark.com

30th Annual Festival of the Balloons
There’s something so wonderfully whimsical about hot air balloons. This weekend is the 30th Anniversary of Tigard’s Festival of the Balloons, so be sure to get the gang together and feast your eyes on this air born celebration! Get down to Cook Park early each morning to watch the balloons launch into the morning sky, then spend your afternoon shopping vendors, eating food, enjoying live music, scoping out the Rogue Beer Garden, carnival fun center and much more! CGWA Beach Bash
It’s summer, which means heading out to your local watering holes for water sports and fun in the sun! This weekend, get to the Colombia River Gorge for the CGWA Beach Bash. Kick off Friday talking to the pros and working on your windsurfing game, then spend Saturday scoping out the races and jamming to live music, eating yummy food, drinking beer and wine and more! World Beat Festival
Our beloved Waterfront Park will be transformed into a colorful, music and dance-filled festival representing over 70 nations and cultures from around the world. It’s the twentieth anniversary, so they’ll be pulling out all the stops! Kick things off with a Children’s Parade on Saturday morning, enjoy live music from the Kemtone Latin Quartet and Conjunto Alegre, learn salsa at 6pm and close the evening with an hour of fire dancing.
