It’s Free First Friday at Portland Children’s Museum, and with August being Outdoor Activity Month, it’s a great time to go play. Al’s Kids’ Club: Plant a Shoe!
If you’ve got an old shoe or boot laying around, head to Al’s Garden Center this weekend for their Plant a Shoe class. With an assortment of flowers to pick from, you’ll get to turn that old shoe into something beautiful, and the littles will learn just how creative gardening can be. Summer Fest at the Rice Museum
It’s the 13th Annual Summer Fest at the Rice Museum of Rocks and Minerals this weekend! Take your little fossil diggers and geode lovers out to explore the museum, marvel at the beautiful rocks and minerals on display, make a pet rock, and ride in the Flintstone Mobile with Fred and Wilma.
