Legos at the Library
Bring your lil’ Lego lovers to the library this weekend for an imagination-fueled building session! Each time, the crew will build a new structure to put on display at the library. Campus Blues Fest
This weekend’s Campus Blues Fest at Concordia University is a tribute Janice Scroggins and Linda Hornbuckle, two legends of the jazz and gospel scene and native Oregonians. Get the fam out on a lovely weekend evening to pay tribute to these powerful, musical women and get your groove on to some of the areas best blues acts. Free, cu-portland.edu/campus-blues-fest

Apple Picking at Bell’s Orchard
If you’ve got a hankerin’ for some freshly picked apples, you’re in luck! Apple picking season came a little early this year with all this warm weather, so head to Bell’s Orchard this weekend to get your apple fix. They have a playground complete with a tree house, monkey bars, slides and more, and they prune their trees to be the perfect size for your littles to reach (no ladders necessary!). $1.90/lb., bellsorchard.com

TomatoFest
Green Zebra Grocery is hosting back to back TomatoFest celebrations at their two locations in Kenton and Lloyd. Stop by Friday or Saturday to taste some of the area’s yummiest organic and heirloom tomatoes, as well as locally sourced basil and mozzarella, and Oregon’s only locally made olive oil. Play in the Mud
