Picture this…Play-Doh creations, Easter egg dye, Thanksgiving dinner, finger paint and holiday cookie bakes.  Can’t you just see the mess? But then, imagine the kitchen table without any paint on it, the floor without any caked-on Play-Doh, and grandma’s tablecloth free of mashed potatoes and gravy.   Now that’s enough to make any parent’s heart skip a beat.

Parents everywhere rejoice! Smarty Parents is excited to be very close to shipping its new PBA-free version of the award-winning Kiddy Platter.  www.kiddyplatter.com  Designed to control mess and promote craft time, learning and family meals, the placemat is a perfect, functional item for active families.  Created by the Portland husband and wife team of Lindy and Chris Bartell – Smarty Parents – the mission of the platter is to “make mealtime matter and craft time count” as early in a child’s life as possible. As the parents of two young boys, the Bartells set out to create a tool that was durable, safe and functional – all while being something kids enjoyed using.

The Kiddy Platter’s clear design is intentional, allowing parents to use Platter Pix, printer-friendly, learning artwork that goes underneath .  Smarty Parents offers a variety of these Platter Pix which are available for download and printing. The placemat is free of BPA, phtalates, PVC and lead. It is also completely dishwasher safe.

Now that’s music to any mom’s ears.
