June 2019

Happy June, friends! Is it just me or does June sneak up on us each year? If you have kids in school, you too are feeling that end-of-the-year press. Field trips and Field Days and lice scares, oh my! But then… sweet, sweet, summer! Whether your family enjoys a great music fest, a trip to the coast, or being lulled to sleep by the croaking and chirping of frogs under a clear Oregon sky, we are lucky enough to have it!

And as we celebrate Pride Month and reflect on heading into the middle of 2019, I know I’m taking a bit more time to truly appreciate the beautiful differences that make up who we are as a collective whole. My kids roll their eyes when I tell them to imagine if we all looked the same and felt the same and enjoyed the same things. “We knowwwwwwww, Mom. We would be bored and there would be a shortage of everything we think is good.” Eye rolls or not, I am going to keep saying it.

Cheers,

Mary
