Pick Your Own: Summer Fun

 Girl berry picking
Nothing says summer like freshly picked fruit. The thrill of seeing rows and rows of beautiful, fresh berries, filling our buckets to the brim, and eating them while picking is pretty hard to beat. Kids love to go, and the experience makes for a great daytrip and a little summer adventure with the family. In July, head out for blueberries, raspberries and some of the lesser-known, but equally yummy varieties like tayberries, loganberries, and caneberries. And for a rare treat, why not try cherry or peach picking this year? Here is a list of Portland-area farms worth making the trek to check out.
