Rock Haven Climbing

Rock climbing is fun and exciting for kids and adults. Rock Haven offers drop in climbing (day passes), punch passes with 10 visits each, monthly EFT memberships and prepaid annual memberships. All visitors to the gym must review a safety video and sign a waiver (minors have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian). These can be done online or in the gym.

At Rock Haven we offer the following,

• Day Passes = drop in climbing for the day, add rental shoes if you don’t have your own
• Punch Passes & Memberships for kids, teens, adults, or the whole family
• Birthday parties with 2 hour private room rental, climbing & rental shoes for up to 15 climbers (20-25 total guests)
• Custom parties & events
• Classes for ages 5-12; also Teen classes & Adult Classes
• Climbing Team starting at age 8
• Camps during Spring Break, Summer Break & Winter Break
• Day Off School camps for in-service days
• Homeschool Discount for homeschool families (on scheduled school days, plus once a week in summer)

We have some age limits in the gym, purely for safety and for everyone to have the best experience possible.

• Ages 0-2: littles may attend, but they can’t climb yet. We have some lawn games and other games they may enjoy while your event is going on.
• Ages 3-8: these young climbers may enjoy the large upper family area.
• Ages 9-13: these climbers may scale all the walls in the gym, with supervision. 
• Ages 14+: all walls and weights/cardio if they want to use that.

Rock Haven is a bouldering gym which means that you are climbing without a rope or harness. Thick soft pads protect you when you fall (everyone falls). Plan to wear comfortable clothes to move around in. Our friendly staff can answer questions and give a free orientation if you or your kids are new to the sport.

For kids ages 3-8 we have a large family area, starting at a huge boulder called the Shipwreck, named for its resemblance to, well, a ship that has wrecked on a beach. There are a couple dozen boulder problems on this boulder for kids to "solve" and reach the top of the wall. The Shipwreck also features a rounded low end for our smallest adventurers, as well as cubbies that the kids can climb into and take a break solo or with a friend. The Shipwreck is also Rock Haven's best photo opp!

Just past the Shipwreck we have more kid terrain! There are walls to scale, and young climbers top out on to a walkway that leads to a bridge and slide. There are monkey bar style holds under the bridge for extra challenges.

The Shipwreck boulder is located directly across from our party room and near our spacious and clean restrooms and locker rooms. For adults and kids ages 9 and up there is a second large climbing area including vertical walls with heights averaging 13 feet, and some overhung walls, a cave and arch as well as a topout section that you may climb up on for a fun challenge and views of the gym. Parents must supervise children at all times.

At Rock Haven we also have classes, a climbing team and camps! 

Our classes are for kids ages 5-12 and we have multiple sessions per week on Monday and Wednesday. Some are a weekly signup, and other classes are on a monthly schedule. Easy online signup and if you have questions, call or email and we’ll help you find the right class for your child. We also do summer camps, plus winter break and spring break camps. Your child will learn climbing skills, make new friends and have the best week ever.
