5 St. Patty’s Day Bashes for the Fam
We all deserve the luck of the Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, even if we’re not 21 yet. Here are five ways for your family to “wear the green” without being part of a pub crawl!
St Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival

The parade, featuring the Sellwood Middle School Marching Band, will kick off, with a family-friendly festival afterwards. An old-fashioned carnival and entertainment are provided under the festival tent together with authentic Irish corned beef and cabbage and shepherd’s pie.

Sunday is Family Day during this three-day festival, with a Shamrock Run, music, pipers, dancing, vendors and crafts. Local Irish dance schools will perform and children can meet the Irish wolfhounds, described as “giant friendly dogs.”
